Community Sport

The Canadian Tenpin Federation received final approval from the Canadian Coaching Association to launch our new NCCP Community Sport Initiation Course in May 2007. Community Sport Initiation Courses are available for distribution. This one day course designed around the entry level coach providing NCCP training in Theory, Technical and Practical for Community Sport Trained status for tenpin bowlers in the Stage 1 – Fundementals and Stage 2 – Learn to Bowl stages of the Long Term Athlete Development Program.

Competition Introduction

The Canadian Tenpin Federation received final approval for the Competition Introduction Stream in 2011. Courses are available all provinces and ongoing Learning Facilitator and Evaluator training is taking place. Competition Introduction will replaces the old Level II Course. This two day course will provide coaches with training for athletes that will be competing at the provincial and national levels in Stage 3 – Train to Preform and Stage 4 – Train to Compete stages of the Long Term Athlete Development Program. Coaches will obtain Trained status upon completing the course and will be Certified upon completion of the Evaluation stage.

Competition Development

The Canadian Tenpin Federation has received conditional approval for the Competition Development stream. Cources will be available beginning the fall of 2013. With his comprehensive 3 day course and 7 mandatory Multi-Sport Modules coaches will obtain Trained Status, upon completing the evaluation stage will becom Certified. Coaches will have training for bowlers that complete at the national and international levels at Stage 5 – Train to Win Nationals and Stage 6 – Train to Win Internationals.
This course replaces the old Level 3 course.
